How many followers do you need to get verified on TikTok?

There’s not a single number of followers you need to get verified on TikTok.

Instead it seems the app looks at the following criteria –

Viral content

You may be considered for a blue tick if you’re creating content that consistently goes viral.

Daily follower growth

You must be consistently growing in new followers everyday.

TikTok experts advise that if you want to be verified you should be aiming for anywhere between 500-2000 a day.

If you have a big following on your other social media accounts – you should make sure you direct your followers to your TikTok account.

Views growth

The average views and watch time on your TikToks must be on the rise.

Media coverage

If you get some press coverage it will increase your chances of gaining a blue tick.

Can you apply to be verified on TikTok?

Unlike other social media apps like Twitter, Facebook and instagram you cannot apply to be verified.

TikTok has a strict set of guidelines established by their Creator Launch Team who are responsible for getting that blue badge to the right people.

What does verified on TikTok mean?

A verified badge means that TikTok has confirmed the account belongs to the user it represents.

It appears next to a TikTok user’s account name in search results and on the profile as a visible blue check mark.

According to TikTok: “It is an easy way for notable figures to let users know they’re seeing authentic content, and it helps to build trust among high profile accounts and their followers.

“For celebrities, non-profits, or official brand pages, this badge builds an important layer of clarity with the TikTok community.”
