Michelle Heaton is overjoyed to have made it to 100 days of sobriety and honoured the occasion with a throwback photo from her last night of ‘utter chaos’.

The former Liberty X singer checked into rehab clinic, The Priory, in April after spending months in lockdown drinking alcohol everyday.

In her latest Instagram post, Michelle celebrated her lengthy period of sobriety by sharing a photo of the night before she went into the treatment facility, and a snap of her looking healthy now.

She explained: ‘100 days ago I took this photo, the morning I went into rehab. I remember waking up after yet another night of a party for one, alone by myself in utter madness and chaos.

‘100 days on, and I wake up (with still tired eyes), but tired from just a restless sleep, not a drugged up binge.

‘All I could see was darkness, now I can see light. Where there was pain I feel joy. Where there was no hope I have comfort.’

Michelle, 41, said she hoped her post reached the addicts who are ‘still suffering’ because ‘you are me, I was you’.

The former singer continued: ‘If you are in pain if you are controlled and have became powerless to this disease only YOU can label yourself!

‘Admitting you need or want help is the first and hardest step. Let’s beat this! One day at a time. Not for tomorrow, just for today! Help is out there.’

Michelle was supported by her celebrity friends, including Danielle Lloyd who wrote under the vulnerable post: ‘Well done babe your doing so well.’

Samia Longchambon said: ‘Well done Michelle!’

Keith Duffy, Simon Webbe and Nicola McLean were among the other stars who supported Michelle with uplifting emoji.

It comes after Michelle, who is mother to two children, recalled how she was told she had ‘a couple of days to live’ due to the extent of her addiction issue.

The star said she was ‘on death’s door’ and had lost so much weight but has fortunately had a successful recovery so far.
