Love Island 2021’s longest-standing couple look more uncertain than ever, after Liberty Poole questioned her relationship with Jake Cornish.

The pair are facing uncertainty after unseen footage was aired on Thursday night which showed Jake expressing doubt over his attraction to the 21-year-old.

Liberty was forced to watch Jake make a series of unflattering comments about her recorded in the early stages of the series.

Jake, 24, was shown on an outdoor screen, saying about her: ‘She’s not all that.

‘It’s not 100%. I haven’t got the girl, that I’m like, f*** me, I want to rip her clothes off. I don’t want to fake it, do you know what I mean?’

Liberty was left shocked by the comments, saying: ‘To hear that coming from your partner, saying I didn’t want to rip her clothes off, I don’t fancy her, or know if the attraction is there, it is brutal.’

On tonight’s show, the marketing student questions her future with Jake, not long after the pair officially became girlfriend and boyfriend.

After Liberty looks to him for answers, the water engineer reassures her by saying: You’re my girlfriend. I want to take you home to my family. You’re my future.’

Will the pair get through this tricky patch? Viewers will have to tune in to find out.

Two other islanders left frustrated after Thursday’s show were Faye Winter and Teddy Soares, who endured a heated argument after footage of Faye with Sam Jackson.

Speaking about it with Dale Mehmet, Faye says: ‘There was nothing in that clip of me and Sam that Teddy didn’t already know. Did Teddy come back once and say he was sexually attracted to someone? No.’

Walking away from Dale, Faye says: ‘I’m done with this conversation.’

It comes after Amy Day blasted Hugo Hammond as ‘fake’, after they were dumped from the Love Island villa.

Casa Amor stars Sam Jackson, Clarisse Juliette and Amy Day were also dropped, and despite leaving the villa together, it looks like Amy and Hugo don’t have any kind of future together whatsoever.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
