Xena: Warrior Princess fans lose it as stars Renee O’Connor and Lucy Lawless reunite on screen

Xena: Warrior Princess fans have finally got the kind of reunion they’ve been dreaming of for years, with two of the show’s biggest stars back together on our screens.
Xena and Gabrielle are set for a return of sorts, as first look pictures of Renee O’Connor guest-starring role on Lucy Lawless’ drama My Life Is Murder were revealed.
Renee is set to play a major role in the second season of the Australian crime show as part of an intriguing new plot.
When Lucy’s lead character Alexa is tasked with investigating the death of a self-help guru, she ends up going toe to toe with the victim’s wife, played by Renee.
Speaking about her former Xena co-star joining the series, Lucy told EW: ‘The [Xena] fans are just gonna love it. It’s a huge gift to them.’
Fans were ecstatic after seeing the pair together again, replying to Lucy’s post on Twitter to wish them all the very best.

‘It’s a great pleasure to see you together again, it’s great!’ one wrote.
Another said: ‘We’ve missed you. It was magic then. It’s going to be magical now.’
‘We can’t be happier to see you work together again, & I know you both are so happy about the same thing too!’ an emotional fan added.
It’s not the only reunion actress Lucy is set to enjoy on the new run of episodes. She’ll also star alongside Spartacus pair Anna Hutchison and Graham Vincent, as well as Xena actors Jay Ryan and Bruce Hopkins.
My Life Is Murder’s second season arrives on Acorn TV on August 30.
Cult fantasy show Xena: Warrior Princessran from 1995 to 2001. It focuses on strong female protagonist, Princess Xena, as she sets out with small town bard, Gabrielle, to battle against Warlords and Gods in an ancient mythological world.
The show was filmed in New Zealand, and holds a special place in many viewers’ hearts until this day.
