How to delete a Facebook page

Requirements

To delete a Facebook page you must first be an administrator of the page.

This means you must have created the page – or have been made an administrator by another person.

Save down 

One of the most important steps before you delete your page is to make sure that you’re not deleting any memories along with it.

Go through your photos and videos that you have uploaded over the years and save anything that you may not have a back up of.

Time to delete

From your News Feed, click Pages in the left menu.Select the page that you wish to delete and click Page Settings in the bottom left.From General, click Remove Page.Click remove page.Click Delete Page and then save changes.

Other options

Your page won’t be deleted straight away – which is helpful if you change your mind.

It will remain live for 14 days and in this time frame you can still cancel your page deletion.

Undelete

To cancel your Page deletion:

Go to your Page within 14 days of scheduling to delete your Page.Click Page Settings in the bottom left.Click Cancel Deletion at the top of your Page.Click Confirm and then click OK.

Unpublish

If you don’t want to delete your page, but still don’t want anyone to see it, you can also unpublish your page at anytime.

Unpublishing your Page will hide it from the public, including the people who like your Page, and your Page won’t be visible to the public until it’s published again. 

From your News Feed, click Pages in the left menu.Go to your Page and click Page settings in the bottom left.From General, click Page visibility.Click to select Page unpublished.Click Save Changes.Share your reason for unpublishing this Page.Click Next, then click Unpublish.
