Joe Swash is looking on the bright side after postponing his wedding to Stacey Solomon.
The couple had planned to wed this year in the grounds of their Essex home Pickle Cottage but they decided to put the nuptials on hold when Stacey fell pregnant with her fourth child.
Former EastEnders actor Joe, 39, shares son Rex, two, with Stacey, while she is already mother to Zachary, 13, and Leighton, nine, from a previous relationship, and Joe shares Harry, 14, with a former partner.
The couple are expecting their second child together and Joe is delighted their baby will be able to attend their wedding when she’s born.
He told new! magazine: ‘We were disappointed to have to postpone the wedding, but we’re living in really funny times at the moment with coronavirus and the rules changing.
‘We’ve got so many friends and family we want to be there that we really didn’t want to leave out.’
He added: ‘And also, a cherry on top of the cake is that our little girl can be at our wedding now as well.
‘So it was a shame but it was the right decision to make. We can’t wait.’
Joe and Stacey confirmed the gender of their unborn baby last month, with Stacey posting on Instagram to say they were having a little girl.
She wrote: ‘Baby Girl. I can not believe I’m writing this… We are growing a little baby girl.
