Roman Reigns Says John Cena is Trying to Use His Fame for Hollywood Promotions and WWE SummerSlam Match

Roman Reigns and John Cena are preparing to take WWE matches one level up at SummerSlam 2021. It’s going to be the main event for the biggest PPV of 2021!

While it’s exciting to know Cena and Reigns will tear down the arena once again, the question is – why is it John Cena returned to specifically challenge The Tribal Chief?

The most common answer is that The Invisible Man will be the one to dethrone Roman Reigns. However, The Universal Champion feels differently about this.

During his conversation on The Pat McAfee show, The Tribal Chief revealed that Cena is using the feud and Reigns’ fame to promote his movies.

“If he would’ve just come here, promote his movies, ‘Suicide Squad, yay, it’s a good movie! Go watch it!’ You can open the show. You can pep up the crowd. Do that, and then I’ll stay in the main event where I belong, and I’ll close the show, and we’ll be done.”

“…He’s smart. If I was him and I’m promoting a movie, and I want to get that buzz, what do you do? You go to the Island of Relevancy, right? You go to The Tribal Chief, and you try to find the biggest thing cooking right now. And that’s me. So, he’s trying to use my name to promote his movies. Will John Cena dethrone Roman Reigns?

There’s not a soul in the WWE Universe who doesn’t know what the two men can bring to the ring. However, there can only be one winner.

The current Roman Reigns is not the same one who battled Cena years ago. The Tribal Chief is much more lethal, dangerous, and ruthless. He will be ready to dominate the match and overturn every move Cena makes to establish himself as the true Universal Champion.

On the other hand, John Cena has experience. He knows how a top dog can play the cards to win the match, hence, he’ll bring an entirely new gameplay to SummerSlam 2021.

Considering both of them have the power to be champion, it’s going to be a hard prediction for the WWE Universe.
