Jamie Hayter returns on AEW Rampage to help Britt Baker before confirming new contract

Jamie Hayter returned to All Elite Wrestling for the first time in two years at the end of Rampage.

The debut episode of AEW’s newest show ended in style as Hayter came out to align herself with Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. and she’s officially signed with the company.

In a brief Twitter post, the promotion announced: ‘Welcome to the team… [Jamie Hayter] is #AllElite!’

Hayter is yet to comment publicly on her big move.

She made her presence felt in the finals moments of the show, after Baker – who actually defeated her in October 2019 during one of two AEW appearances she made towards the end of the year – retained her Women’s Title against Red Velvet.

The champion got a heroes welcome in her hometown of Pittsburgh as she continues to cement herself as one of the most popular acts in AEW with all kinds of momentum behind her.

She eventually picked up the win with the Lockjaw, and Kris Statlander stopped her from dishing out further punishment after the bell as she looked to stomp Velvet into the title belt.

However, Hayter made her AEW comeback and helped Baker take them both out to close the show.

All eyes will be on the second episode of Rampage next Friday night in Chicago with plenty of speculation that a certain former world champion is poised for an epic return.

However, a week before a potential comeback for CM Punk, all eyes were on the debut edition, which kicked off in style with Christian Cage battling Kenny Omega for the IMPACT Wrestling World Championship.

Christian picked up a huge win here, and IMPACT immediately confirmed he will be part of its tapings next week, setting up an exciting period for both the company and the new champ.

Elsewhere on Rampage, Miro made quick work of Fuego Del Sol to retain the TNT Title, and the latter was overcome with emotion when Tony Khan and Sammy Guevara came out to reveal he was still being signed despite not winning the match.
