“Could Cry a River”: Bianca Andreescu in Shatters After Crashing Out, Numb During Press Conference

Canadian tennis player Bianca Andreescu is one of the most talented players in this modern era. However, she has been unfortunate as she has been injured over the past couple of seasons. Due to that, she has been unable to perform up to her usual levels. 

Recently, Bianca Andreescu competed in the National Bank Open in Montreal. Although she was the defending champion, she was unable to go deep into the event. Her loss came at the hands of Tunisian player Ons Jabeur. As the match went on for long, one could sense the drop in her levels. During the match, she was dealing with a problem with her toe.

After the loss, Andreescu stated, “It kind of sucks that I have to do a press conference after a loss like that because I’m in the worst mood ever. I honestly don’t want to talk to anybody or answer these questions, no offense to anyone. I’m trying to stay positive here right now, tomorrow is another day and I’ll be fine hopefully. But right now I’m so pissed I could cry a river.”

Bianca Andreescu made it to the final in Miami 

Reflecting on her season so far, Bianca began competing in Melbourne at the Australian Open but suffered a loss in the second round. Soon after, she was seen in Miami but lost in the final. She had to withdraw from the match due to injury.

She lost in the opening round at the French Open and the Wimbledon Championships. Now that she has lost in Montreal, it will be interesting to see how she performs in the upcoming matches and for the rest of the season.
