David Walliams and Sheridan Smith have shared the first look at Hansel & Gretel: After Ever After, with the pair looking unrecognisable in the snap.
In pictures shared to social media, the pair can be seen dressed as the fairy-tale characters, complete with full make-up and prosthetics.
The image shows comedian David as a troll while actress Sheridan is a wicked witch.
Details of the film, a new adaptation of the traditional Brothers Grimm story, are yet to be released and it is not known the roles the pair will play in the project.
The show is set to air at Christmas on Sky TV and fans took to Twitter to express their joy at David’s post.
‘Can’t wait! Christmas TV at its best!’, wrote one of the star’s followers.
‘Real life footage of me on Boxing Day on the left,’ another person tweeted in reference to David.
While someone else posted: ‘Nanny McPhee, is that you?’
David and Sheridan appeared together in Jack and The Beanstalk: After Ever After last year on Sky TV.

Of his role as the giant, David previously told Tyla: ‘I just love being transformed.
‘There’s something very exciting about looking in the mirror and you see something or someone else as an actor.’
