VIDEO: Conor McGregor Shows Off Insane Recovery From Freak Leg Break at UFC 264

Conor McGregor recently took to Twitter to post a video of him riding a bike. McGregor broke his leg at the end of the first round in his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. Poirier won the fight subsequently going up 2-1 against the Irishman. McGregor has been recovering from the surgery he had and it seems like he is right on track in his recovery.

It’s quite surprising to see him back on the bike already. It’s been only over a month since he suffered that freak injury. And judging the nature of the leg break, many would have expected him to be out for longer. However, his toughness is unquestionable. The fact he was busy promoting a possible fourth fight with Poirier with a broken leg inside the Octagon, is a testament to the same.

When will Conor McGregor return to the UFC Octagon?

Well, this might not fool fans into thinking that he is on course for an early return. One should not expect the Irish fighter in action till the latter half of 2022.

He has already revealed that it will be at least October till he is back to doing any sort of combat training. However, he needs more time to use his kicking game. His leg needs more time to be ready as a possible weapon.

As for a possible opponent, the fourth fight with Poirier is on the cards. ‘The Diamond’ himself has signaled that he wants to settle the debate of who is the better fighter, once and for all. So, it’s only fitting they clash inside the Octagon once again.

A trilogy fight against Nate Diaz is something fans wish to see as well. Many have suggested McGregor takes that option next. What he chooses to proceed with upon his return, will be interesting to see as with McGregor options are always in plenty.
