Love Island reunion episode confirmed with tense special back for first time since 2019

The Love Island final may be within reaching distance but it won’t be the last episode of 2021.

It’s now been revealed the unmissable reunion episode is back with the cast coming face to face for the first time on camera since leaving the villa.

Traditionally, the instalment has been filmed in November and airs just in time for Christmas, usually packed with more rows and dramas.

As if we haven’t seen enough.

Will Faye and Teddy still be locking horns and making up with rose petal bath tubs? How many times will Toby have moved mad?

Sadly, we already know what fate was in store for Jake and Liberty, but will Kaz and Tyler or Liam and Millie have better luck?

In a slight change of direction, The Sun reports this year’s special will be filmed just one week after the final.

‘The extra episode will give fans a glimpse of their favourite couples as they take on the outside world,’ an insider told the publication.

The last reunion aired in 2019, and a teaser promised to give ‘friends and foes the first chance to see each other again’.

But before all of that, there’s a winning couple to be decided.

With Jake and Liberty out of the running, Faye and Teddy, Kaz and Tyler, Liam and Millie, and Chloe and Toby will all go head to head for the £50,000 prize on Monday.

Love Island continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2.
