Comedians Kathy Burke and Roisin Conaty have called for Sean Lock’s much-loved sitcom, 15 Storeys High, to be put on BBC iPlayer nearly 20 years after it was last broadcast.
Fans were left devastated after the news broke of the death of the 8 Out of 10 Cats captain on Wednesday morning.
Ever since, many social media users have been celebrating his fantastic career by sharing clips of some of his best moments on-screen.
However, one programme which has cropped up in the memories of fans is his sitcom 15 Storeys High, which Sean wrote and starred in, back in the early 2000s.
On Sunday morning, fellow comedian Kathy asked broadcaster to put the programme up on its streaming platform after a chat with Roisin.
She said to her Twitter followers: ‘My showbiz pal, Roisin Conaty and I had a massive love up about Sean Lock yesterday.
‘He was such a fantastic bloke. We’d love to see the absolutely brilliant 15 Storeys High put on the @BBCiPlayer please.’

She concluded her tweet by adding: ‘We’re not asking for much.’
Many of Kathy’s followers soon responded to the request, asking BBC iPlayer to put up the show.
One shared: Totally agree. I watched this back to back yesterday. I don’t know why I hadn’t watched it before now. Such a funny, quick witted, down to Earth fella. It does need to be on @BBCiPlayer.’
Another echoed: ‘Yes please! 15 Storeys High is a work of genius. Make it happen @BBCiPlayer.’
‘I’ve never seen it and this must be rectified. Come on @BBCiPlayer,’ said one fan.
Another wrote: ‘Thanks Kathy, Sean was an absolute gem. Sorely missed.’
The sitcom ran for two seasons between 2002 and 2003 on BBC (Picture:BBC)
The series was originally broadcast on the BBC between 2002 and 2003, with 12 episodes in total.
It tells the story of two men who share a tower block in south London and came to screens after originally being a Radio 4 series.
