In the words of Taylor Swift herself, drop everything now, because the Love Story hitmaker has finally joined TikTok.

Swifties are understandably bursting with excitement, as Taylor, 31, posted her first video.

The Grammy Award winner took the internet by surprise when she made her TikTok debut, and, in true Taylor style, became the fastest user to reach 100k followers on the app, doing so just 34 minutes after her first upload.

The exciting news comes after the singer-songwriter announced the vinyl pre-order for Red (Taylor’s Version), the second of her re-recorded albums to be released, allowing the star to own her masters.

The Blank Space songstress wrote: ‘Lots going on at the moment: Red (my version) vinyl is up for presale on my site and oh I’m on tiktok now let the games begin [sic]’ accompanied by a cat emoji, of course.

The musician’s bio also reads: ‘This is pretty much just a cat account,’ reminding her fans that, a global superstar she may be, but she is a cat lady first and foremost.

In her first nine-second video and lip syncing to Screwface Capital by Dave, in which he raps: ‘My outstanding payments swift like Taylor,’ Taylor recreates looks from past eras.

Transitioning from folklore, to evermore, then Fearless (Taylor’s Version), the multi platinum artist ends on Red (Taylor’s Version), wearing her classic red lip and blunt fringe.

It’s no surprise that Taylor’s fans are thrilled about her TikTok account, with thousands taking to Twitter to express their joy.

One user wrote: ‘Taylor Swift joining TikTok cured my depression, fixed my grades, cleared my skin and put money in my wallet [sic].’

More: Cats

Another fan said: ‘downloading TikTok rn because of Taylor Swift and Taylor Swift only [sic].’

All this excitement comes on the two year anniversary of Taylor’s seventh studio album, Lover, which made her the world’s best-selling musician of 2019.

Fans can now look forward to more Taylor content on TikTok in the lead up to the release of Red, and we’re really hoping her cats make an appearance soon.

Red (Taylor’s Version) is available November 19.
