Liam Reardon spiced up the Love Island final by asking Millie Court to be his girlfriend, live on air.

Just before winning the entire competition, and the £50,000 prize fund, the (now official) couple sat down with host Laura Whitmore to discuss their unique journey in the competition.

There’s no denying they haven’t had an easy ride, with Casa Amor nearly breaking them apart for good before an emotional reunion.

When the presenter took the opportunity to ask where their romance was heading now that the series is over, the 22-year-old decided to take their relationship to the next level.

Making the most of the moment, the 22-year-old made things official, in front of the live audience and all of us watching on from home.

‘It’s been on my mind for a while, so…,’ he said coyly as everyone cheered around him.

A baffled Millie quickly said yes as they shared a sweet kiss.

They certainly had a lot to celebrate as, just minutes later, Laura announced that they had been crowned winners of the competition.

The pair beat out stiff competition from runners-up Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran, as well as Faye Winter and Teddy Soares, Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank.

However, they weren’t the only finalists to make things official before returning home to the UK, with Toby popping the all-important question during his declaration of love.

Milliam did face a tense moment when they were presented with the £50k prize – with Millie eventually given the choice of splitting the cash or taking it all for herself.

Side note: No one in Love Island history has ever decided to take all of the money.

And Millie wasn’t about to buck the trend as she confirmed she will be sharing the loot with her new boyfriend.

Love Island is available to stream on ITVHub.
