RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season 2 lost a fan favourite this evening when Snatch Game saw Tia Kofi eliminated from the competition.

The 30-year-old Clapham queen became the sixth star to sashay away after failing to impress with her Mel B impersonation.

As her character would’ve said – Grrrr.

Falling into the bottom two for the third time, Tia was up against three-time winner Lawrence Chaney in the lip-sync syncing to Touch Me by Cathy Dennis.

Speaking after her elimination, Tia said: ‘It was actually alright [to leave] to be honest! While you’re there, you think the worst thing you could hear is “sashay away”, so when you do eventually hear it there is almost a sense of relief!

‘I’m still ok! I’m still me! Gutted that I couldn’t make it all the way to the end, but so proud of what I did while I was there!’

‘Listen I was sent home by someone with three RuPeter badges so that’s fine,’ she told the cameras as she made her exit. ‘That is fair enough.

‘Maybe I didn’t quite get out of my head but I am so lucky and so grateful to have made it as far as I did.

‘If I could change one thing about my time on Drag Race I’d probably burn all of my outfits and walk down the runway naked every single time.’

In her final departing message to the remaining contestants, Tia wrote in lipstick on the mirror. ‘You’re all camp cows. Be proud. Be kind. Give it 100% #Tiawasrobbed. X’

While Tia didn’t impress, the annual celebrity impersonation game brought some of the UK’s most loved faces to the series – albeit in a drag queen twist.

Bimini Bon Boulash was declared the winner of this week’s challenge, having performed as Katie Price.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK airs Thursdays at 7pm on BBC iPlayer (UK) and World of Wonder (Rest of World).
