Mick Schumacher’s Uncle Demands Steiner to Intervene in Mazepin Row – “Even If the Money… “

The Haas rookies Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin don’t share a cordial relationship and once again they have proved it after the Haas duo were involved in yet another near-miss incident at the Dutch Grand Prix.

This incident occurred a day after when the two drivers were engaged in a heart-stopping moment at the end of Q1. During the dying moments in Q1, Sebastian Vettel was preparing for his flying lap, but on the penultimate corner, Nikita Mazepin blocked the German. The Russian driver moving to the inside of his teammate, only to get in Vettel’s way.

A day later, during the main race, as soon as Mick Schumacher went to overtake his teammate, Nikita Mazepin maneuvered his car to the right that Schumacher almost drove into the pit wall.

Meanwhile, Mick’s uncle and former driver, Ralf Schumacher, is critical of Nikita Mazepin and insists Haas team principal, Guenther Steiner, needs to intervene between the rookie drivers.

Nikita Mazepin’s defense was not a nasty move: Guenther Steiner

Haas team principal, Guenther Steiner, believes Nikita Mazepin was not at fault after the first lap controversy at the Dutch Grand Prix.

As quoted by Planet F1, when asked if the young Russian driver’s move was dangerous, Guenther Steiner replied: “I think you can always say it’s dangerous.”

“You can avoid danger. I don’t think it was a nasty move, to be honest. I looked at this scenario and it takes always two to tango.”
