“That’s Five Fights”- Tyson Fury Reveals His “Bucket-List” of Opponents

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury can explore several ventures after his trilogy fight against Deontay Wilder for the WBC title on October 9. From a potential move to the MMA cage to being active in the ropes, the Briton can have a hand full of options for his combat future.

While Fury (30-0-1) appears to have achieved it all in boxing, there are a few fights he wants to accept before retirement. Hence, ‘The Gypsy King’ has outlined his plans and has revealed the bouts that he will rightly accept. Furthermore, he has claimed four of those fights to have been lined up already.

Ahead of his upcoming fight, the WBC heavyweight champion connected with BT Sport and shed views on several opinions, including his combat future, which allured the fans.

Tyson Fury said, “I’m going to fight Wilder on October 9th. I’ll fight Dillian Whyte back here in the UK for the first time in years at a stadium up here in the north or something in December. Let’s get a date December. I’ll shop that one right up. That’ll be an easy one. And then I’ll fight Joshua in March. If it’s in Saudi Arabia, let’s do it. And then we can have a re-match in the summer back here at Wembley. And then I’ll go out in my last fifth fight, in however long, two years and I’ll fight Derek Chisora.” (H/T:- Sports bible)

He added, “That’s five fights.”

After his latest in over Wilder on February 2020, Tyson Fury hasn’t appeared in action yet. So, he will relinquish a long hiatus on his next fight. On winning the show, Fury will truly enter the G.O.A.T debate.

Tyson Fury – The career of a giant

Beating all his in-ring adversaries and personal problems, Tyson Fury could successfully become one of the most prolific boxers of this era. Having beaten Deontay Wilder in his last fight, he is also touted as the greatest heavyweight boxer of the modern age. However, not everyone agrees with that. Tyson Fury hasn’t tested himself against several of his contemporaries.

Two of them being Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte. Meanwhile, Joshua is regarded as the most valid opponent of Fury, as they can arguably stage the biggest fight in boxing history. So, ‘The Gypsy King’ can not claim himself to be the absolute best unless he beats both Joshua and Whyte. Simultaneously, the potential fights will hold a lot for Fury’s opposition.

Thus, there’s a lot of ‘Fury’ left for the boxing world. As the unbeaten star has detailed his plans to the public, the trend will begin next month with a massive blockbuster ending to one of the most heated rivalries of recent times. Do you think Tyson Fury will close off his rivalry with Deontay Wilder on a successful note?
