Married At First Sight UK stars Alexis Economou and Ant Poole have returned to the E4 dating show tonight after leaving the experiment in shocking scenes last week.
The pair both quit during Thursday night’s episode along with their respective partners, Nikita Jasmine and Jordon Mundell, however, they decided they wanted to rejoin the series to explore the connection they share together.
‘I’m more chill around you!’ Alexis beamed, with Ant adding: ‘This is what I asked for. So I’m just calm and chill.’
The singletons met up with expert Mel Schilling at a cafe to discuss the possibilities of being allowed back.
‘We connected at the dinner party and we got on well so we would like to explore that and we would like to do that within the process,’ Ant suggested.
‘I just felt like I had my spring back,’ Alexis said of her crush on Ant. ‘I was giddy like a child when you fancy someone.’
She added: ‘I definitely feel like we have sexual chemistry also, which we didn’t have before.’

Mel reacted: ‘This is unexpected. I guess my first reaction to this is what you’re asking me is outside the confines of this experiment, conventionally.’
She then explained that they would have to return as daters rather than a married couple, before adding that the other experts would have to sign off on bringing them back.

Viewers were delighted to see Alexis and Ant together and said that the show should pay for them to have a wedding.
‘The #mafsuk producers should be obliged to pay for Ant and Alexis’s wedding as an apology,’ wrote one.
Echoing a similar sentiment, another added: ‘Oh cmon give us an Alexis and Ant a wedding.’
Married At First Sight UK continues on Tuesday at 9pm on E4.
