Alexander Volkanovski and Brian Ortega went to war in the main event of the UFC 266 pay-per-view last weekend. UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya kept a close eye on how his teammate Volkanovski performed in that fight.

The third round of the contest was crazy, to say the least. Ortega managed to lock up Volkanovski twice in potential fight-ending submissions. But, the Aussie refused to tap and eventually made his out of those. It was yet another display of his true heart and grit inside the Octagon. ‘Stylebender’ was visibly excited to see the fight go down as it did.

Also, what caught the fans’ attention was the fact that Izzy was wearing a unique piece of watch. It was an audemarspiguet Royal Oak open-worked in stainless steel. The retail price of the piece is $37,000. The market value of the watch is $125,000.

NBA superstar LeBron James was spotted flaunting the same piece not so long ago. Izzy has always had a knack for showing off fancy accessories. The watch is the latest addition to that list.

Israel Adesanya vs Robert Whittaker 2 seems set to take place next

Adesanya last fought at UFC 263 and earned a lopsided decision in his favor to defend his middleweight title against Marvin Vettori. It was a rematch between the duo. It seems like he will have another rematch to execute when he steps inside the Octagon next. Robert Whittaker is touted to be Adesanya’s next opponent in the UFC.

The duo had previously collided at UFC 243. Adesanya capped off a dominant performance with a second-round knockout win. He managed to become the new undisputed middleweight champion in the process. Whittaker has put together a 3-fight winning streak since to reclaim his spot as the no.1 contender of the division.

They will most likely clash at UFC 270 in early 2022. However, no official date for the same has been announced yet. So, when the fight eventually takes place, remains to be seen.
