M25 traffic chaos as shameless eco-warriors block motorway for SEVENTH time in two weeks after invading A20 junction
ECO-WARRIORS have blocked the M25 for the seventh time in two weeks after causing traffic chaos by invading the high speed motorway.
The protestors have attempted to stop traffic at the A20 junction, defying an injunction which bans them from campaigning on the road.
Queues of traffic are building up on the slip road ofhte M25
Insulate Britain protestors are blocking junction 3 of the M25, where the M25, A20 and M20 all meet together.
Kent Police said: “We are currently in attendance at J3 of the M25 (Swanley Interchange) due to a group of protesters blocking the roundabout.
“Please expect delays and find alternative routes if possible whilst we work to remove the protesters and reopen the roundabout.”
Protesters have been gluing themselves together and to the road, as well as climbing on fuel tankers to bring the roads to a standstill.
More than 50 people were arrested on Monday after they returned to the M25, and were released by the Met Police yesterday under investigation.
An injunction is currently in place on the M25 and the roads around Dover’s ferry port, which see activists facing contempt of court proceedings, and a possible jail term, if they breach the order.

Government ministers applied for the court order to stop the activists from causing huge disruption after days of them blocking traffic on the motorways.
A Department for Transport spokesperson said yesterday: “The right to protest is a fundamental principle of our democracy, but we will not tolerate the guerrilla tactics we have witnessed over the last two weeks.
“That is why we sought injunctions to put an end to this behaviour, which wreaks havoc and puts people’s lives in danger.
“These injunctions are now in place, meaning that if people protest, or encourage others to do so, they face prison or an unlimited fine.”
