Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce Sends a Powerful Message Ahead of Oregon World Championship 2022
In terms of longevity, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Allyson Felix outclass their counterparts by a mile. They are some of the best athletes in the world and have proved it in several Olympic Games and World Championships. Significantly, Fraser-Pryce has won eight Olympic medals in her career.
At the recent Tokyo Olympics 2020, she won the silver medal while Elaine Thompson-Herah bagged gold. Now, her focus shifts to the World Athletics Championships Oregon 2022. The legendary athlete even released a hashtag, expressing her excitement for the upcoming event.
Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce delivers an epic message
The sprinter took to Instagram to deliver an epic message. After a successful athletic season, she now wants to compete in the next World Championships, which is scheduled to take place in Oregon. With her post, the message is clear; She is in it, to win it.
“There are many journeys for us, all at different stages of our lives. Every single one is equally important. The beauty of it all is that each one moulds itself around the destiny which awaits you. It doesn’t matter where you are, what you face, or what you are trying to persevere through. The fact is your journey is uniquely yours and you hold the power to navigate every single one of them,” said Fraser-Pryce.

She continued to mention how she is hoping to put on an outstanding performance in a year’s time in Oregon. With a lot of hope and promise, Fraser-Pryce wants to win more and even introduced a hashtag- #RocketToOregon22.
Age doesn’t matter
Even though she is 34-years-old, age does, in fact, seem like just a number for her. Recently, she set a time of 10.60 seconds to defeat the Olympic gold-medalist, Thompson-Herah. Likewise, she finished second by setting a time of 10.64 seconds; Shericka Jackson took home the bronze.
These three Jamaicans have been incredible this season, dominating most of the races. Regardless, Fraser-Pryce thinks the best of her is yet to come.
“Believe it or not, I have still not run my best race – I know there is more to give. I still need to work further on perfecting my technique. There will be more from me this season. My goal is to break into the 10.50-range,” she said.

Thus, the athlete wants to win again and break that barrier. Even though Flo-Jo’s record is hard to reach, Fraser-Pryce will leave no stone unturned in trying to achieve that feat. Do you think she will do it?
