Canada’s Drag Race is back and the first eliminated queen has told us all about her admiration for our fave UK contestant, Victoria Scone.

Spoilers for Drag Race Canada to follow.

The second series of Canada’s Drag Race is finally back, with 12 new Queens hoping to follow in Priyanka’s footsteps and become Canada’s next Drag Race Superstar, alongside two new judges.

But unfortunately, viewers have already said goodbye to one of this year’s hopefuls.

Despite a very competitive lip sync battle to Nelly Furtado’s Maneater, it was the wonderful Beth who became the first to be eliminated in the opener after Gia narrowly managed to stay put.

Beth has spoken to Metro.co.uk to reflect on the process and how she’s a superfan of Victoria Scone and who else from DRUK has slid into her DMs.

She told us season one’s Blu Hydrangea was one of the first to message her, labelling it ‘really exciting’ before going on to share her love of season three’s Victoria Scone.

Beth shared: ‘I am such a huge diehard stan of Victoria Scone from this season so I sat there like looking at our dms, so I messaged her and [told her] I was such a big fan and she messaged me all that back and I was just… oh I’ve made it!’

The drag performer also went on to address the significance of Victoria becoming the first AFAB (assigned female at birth) queen ever to compete in the franchise, before she sadly departed early due to a knee injury.

‘In Vancouver, we have a pretty large group of AFAB artists as well as hybrid queens, I’m pretty accustomed to it,’ the recently eliminated star said.

‘For me, drag has always been for everyone, it’s always been for everyone and it doesn’t matter who you are outside of drag, it’s what you bring to the table.’

Going on to chat more about her love of Victoria and the latest season of Drag Race UK, Beth commented: ‘It was really exciting to see a bit more diversity on the show.

‘She’s just so good at drag, she’s everything I wish I was and she’s everything I strive to be as a performer, she’s amazing!’

Beth also told us of another love from Drag Race UK – the one and only Alan Carr.

‘He’s just such a hilarious comedian,’ she said, ‘if I ever had the chance to meet him…
