Strictly Come Dancing contestant Judi Love has shared how ‘proud’ her late parents would have been as she competes in the hit BBC show.
Judi is fast becoming one of viewers’ favourite famous faces to be taking part in the dancing extravaganza.
Paired up with Graziano Di Prima, the duo have become a fantastic partnership and are thrilling fans and the panel alike with their exciting routines.
They ended up in the bottom two last week against Corrie star Katie McGlynn but were voted by the judges to remain in the competition.
Now, comedian and Loose Women panellist Judi has spoken out about how her parents, who have both died, would have felt about her latest venture.
She told PA: ‘I think my dad and my mum, because they both passed, would be so proud.
‘I think my mum would probably want to dance with Graziano, and want some of those beautiful dresses. And I think they would just be proud and honoured.’
Judi’s mum died in 2009 after a dementia battle, with her father dying in 2020 during the pandemic.

The star added: Their journey from coming from the West Indies to here, like any parents, it doesn’t matter what your background is, you hope that the next generation can do more than you and I think that would probably have given them their peace of mind for all that they’ve sacrificed for.’
She explained Strictly had been a part of her healing process for her losses, as it’s something people can help connect with.
‘For me, personally, I’m very open with regards to emotions and really being honest with yourself with what you’re feeling and how you’re feeling and seeking that help,’ she shared.
Judi confirmed that the show and her lovely dance partner Graziano has helped her in numerous ways, noting physical, mental and emotional benefits from the series so far.
She shared how although she had seen a change in her body, she was not going into the competition with the goal of losing weight.
Judi added: ‘For me, sexiness is not necessarily about losing weight, sexiness is something that you have internally as it comes with confidence and that doesn’t accumulate to size,’ she said.
