However, one woman has just the hack if you are on a tight budget, and don’t want to spend too much time transforming your kitchen.

Chrissy showed off her incredible results to her followers on her TikTok page @homeofcc – and you wouldn’t believe it is the same space.

DIY fan Chrissy was looking to spruce up her outdated kitchen by changing her dark kitchen worktop to a ‘marble effect’’ instead.

She realised that just by changing the worktop to something lighter, it made a load of difference to the kitchen.

Writing subtitles over the video while she demonstrates the change to the kitchen, Chrissy wrote: “Remove all silicone before doing any wor.

“Sand the worktops. Frog tape all edges. Satin brilliant White paint from b&q paint was used.

“Paint all edges with a brush and then roll on the rest. We left to dry overnight and did four coats to cover the dark.

“We then used the marble spray paint to make the marble effect on top. Voila!”

Now, the stunning space looks completely different and it only costs around £40.

Commenting on the video, Chrissy wrote: “It was about £40 probably in total for the paints! Much cheaper than a new worktop which we couldn’t afford.”

Another wrote: “Great job, is the surface durable for cleaning” to which she replied: “Yes was super easy to clean up just use normal anti back and kitchen worktop sprays and wipe any mess off.”
