“Reminds Me of Switzerland”: Roger Federer Reveals Tennis Moments That Evoke Memories of His Homeland
Roger Federer is presently rehabilitating after undergoing another knee surgery. The Maestro last competed at Wimbledon 2021, where he was knocked out in the quarter-finals of the competition. Recently, Switzerland Tourism shared a charming video of Federer promoting their tourism in their country.
Federer is the brand ambassador for Switzerland Tourism. In the video, the 20-time Grand Slam champion also joked about how he started playing tennis because of the beautiful Swiss benches.
Roger Federer collaborating with Switzerland Tourism
Roger Federer was born in Basel, Switzerland. On several occasions, Federer has described how he loves the alluring nature in Switzerland. In March 2021, Roger Federer became the brand ambassador of Switzerland Tourism. Federer talked about a particularly interesting feature of tennis which reminds him of Switzerland.
“I have been all over the world. My favorite place has always remained Switzerland. It’s the country I miss the most when I’m traveling,” said tennis great Roger Federer after becoming the brand ambassador.

Just recently, Switzerland Tourism released another delightful video of Federer encouraging people to visit Switzerland. He said, “Do you know why I play tennis? Because you can often seat on benches. No, I’m just kidding but we Swiss just love to seat on our bench. You can find them everywhere in the Swiss nature. Perfect break. When I’m sitting on a bench during the match, it reminds me of Switzerland. And I want you to have a good rest too. So check it out.”

Federer also shared this video from his Instagram profile. The tweet from Switzerland Tourism also included a few prizes and rewards on completion of the tasks.

Federer’s injury update
The former World No. 1 made a surprise appearance at the fourth edition of the Laver Cup. Due to his knee injury, the Swiss couldn’t compete at his favorite tournament.

When asked to speak on his injury, Federer stated, “I have to take my time, I don’t wanna rush into anything at this point…There’s no rush with anything. I’m actually in a really good place. I think the worst is behind me.” He further continued,” I took the time. I don’t know, I’m just really in a good place. I’m really happy.”
Clearly, Roger Federer is aiming for a possible comeback at the tennis courts in the 2022 season. When do you think Roger Federer will return to the courts?
