Harrison Ford and Phoebe Waller-Bridge have been spotted on set for Indiana Jones 5 in Sicily, and the pair appeared to be in great spirits.

The Fleabag actress, 36, was first seen shooting for the upcoming movie last week as production moved to Sicily.

She and Harrison, 79, were spotted smiling as they walked around with cast and crew between shots, with Harrison even seen warmly embracing some of the other actors in the scene they were shooting.

Production is currently taking place in Castellammare del Golfo in Italy, where Harrison was seen standing up in the back of a truck as extras looked on.

Harrison was seen wearing Indiana Jones’ iconic get-up while Phoebe wore cream trousers with a white shirt tied at the waist.

She had minimal make-up on for the character and her bob haircut was styled in loose waves, and Phoebe was also seen with a hoody slung around her shoulders to keep warm in between takes.

No details have yet been released for Phoebe’s character and her relationship to Indiana Jones, nor for Mads Mikkelsen’s role, with the Danish actor also spotted on set in Sicily.

The plot of the upcoming movie also remains a closely-guarded secret, but it appears it will feature an element of time travel as Roman gladiators have previously been seen on set as well as Nazi trains.

The as yet untitled fifth instalment in the Indiana Jones franchise is directed by James Mangold and suffered heavy delays due to the coronavirus pandemic.

As well as the Covid-19 pandemic putting a stop to filming for several months due to the world-wide lockdowns, production had to take a further three-month break after Harrison injured his shoulder on set.

However, the actor appears to be fighting fit after taking the time off to recuperate and has been back filming the action-packed scenes fans know and love.

Indiana Jones 5 is slated for release on June 30, 2023.
