Family Fortunes winner gets enormous Gino D’Acampo tattoo on arm after bagging £30k

Family Fortunes sees contestants take home some life-changing money, but one recent winner felt so in awe of show host Gino D’Acampo she celebrated in the best possible way – a tattoo of his face.
The ITV quiz show returned to screens with TV chef Gino at the helm, 18 years after the original series last aired on the channel.
Whilst some families go home empty-handed on the general knowledge show, others go away with more than they bargained for.
Last year, the Burgess family from South Shields were one of the lucky teams, scooping up £30k to take back with them.
One member of the family, Alex, felt she needed to do something more in order to commemorate the win in a very permanent way indeed.
A tweet from the previous contestant Alex Burgess has a picture attached with her new inking, with Gino’s face and the show’s famous tagline: ‘Our survey says.’

Alex explained the reasoning behind deciding to get the very striking tattoo in a caption alongside the picture.
She told followers: ‘One whole year ago the Burgess family graced your screens with our presence on @ITV’s Family Fortunes and won £30,000!
‘How did I celebrate? Got a @Ginofantastico tattoo, of course, a woman of my word.
‘Don’t know if Gino ever saw it so tweeting it again for the lols x.’
Family Fortunes’ official Twitter account sent back a stream of crying laughter emojis to Alex, who told them: ‘It couldn’t not be done.’
Alex even told Gino at the time of her win the way she would be honouring the presenter, telling him: ‘I’m going to get your face tattooed on my arm.’
The Burgess family were victorious on the show last October, so it seems Alex got the bold inking to mark a year since their big day.

Gino took over the revived format of Family Fortunes – with an all-star version previously hosted by Vernon Kay – back in 2020.
Family Fortunes airs Sundays at 7pm on ITV and on the ITV Hub.
