‘Maybe I’m Just Naive’: Warriors’ Klay Thompson Reacts to Being Snubbed From NBA’s 75 Greatest Players
On the occasion of its 75th season, the NBA released a list of its Top 75 players of All Time. Since the league officially released a list of the best players of all time, it’s natural that the players who did not make that list will give their careers some thought. While some feel that they deserved to be on the list, some other deserving players did miss out on the list. Among them is Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson.
Splash Brother Thompson has not played a game in the league in over two years now. But when he was on the floor, he was a nightmare for his opponent’s defense. This is how he reacted to not being named on this list.
“Maybe I’m just naive in my ability to play basketball, but in my head, I’m top 75 all-time.”

Golden State Warriors Head Coach reacts to his players being left out of the Top 75 list
Along with Klay, even Draymond Green has won three championships with the Golden State Warriors. And even he was not named on this list.
Upon being asked how he felt about Draymond Green and Klay Thompson being left out of the Top 75 list, Kerr expressed his disappointment. He said, “How do you differentiate? Seems like there are 50-60 guys who are automatic and then you’re just – pick one.”
He further added, “I definitely think that both guys are Top 75 definitely based on winning, and two-way basketball, everything that really matters, that mattered more than statistics. I think related to numbers, what matters is if you’re winning championships. That’s what counts.”

Why does Klay Thompson deserve to be on the Top 75 list?
The catch and shoot specialist has won 3 championships with the Golden State Warriors. He has the record for the most points in a single quarter with the 37 points he scored against the Kings in 2015. He also has the exceptional achievement of scoring 60 points in just 11 dribbles over 29 minutes. Therefore, it is hard to justify why Klay Thompson, the offensive nightmare for his oppositions, missed out on the list.
