Jordan Spieth to Reportedly Make a Huge Transition With His Golf Shoes

Golf shoes might seem like a trivial aspect of a golfer’s equipment. However, a good pair of shoes is necessary to maximize the performance and grant stability on the natural environment. One major distinction is between spikes and spike-less shoes. And Jordan Spieth, it seems, has found his match.

Jordan Spieth has a massive endorsement deal with Under Armour that is valid until 2025. His attire on the course strictly features the Baltimore-based company clothing. Moreover, he has introduced a new trend in golf with his Under Armour signature shoes that are spike-less, in contrast to most other golfers that prefer the spikes.

The cleated shoes are most popular amongst golfers for an obvious reason- they provide stable footing on the otherwise slippery outdoors. However, in a game-changing design, they have created spike-less shoes which are apparently just as effective as its counterpart. And Spieth, with his latest move, has proved their efficiency.

Jordan Spieth finally makes the switch to spike-less shoes

For a major part of the season, Spieth wore the ‘Under Armour Spieth 5 SL E Golf Shoes.’ In addition, he was seen alternating between the two. However, according to ‘Spieth Legion‘ on twitter, the 12-time winner on the PGA tour has officially made the transition.

They wrote, “Jordan’s officially made the full time switch to Spike-less shoes. We’ve seen Jordan alternate between Spiked and Spike-less shoes all summer. Not sure if Under Armour will make Spiked version of future versions starting with the Spieth 6’s.”

Moreover, they revealed that it is unsure whether the next iteration, Spieth 6’s, will have spiked versions or not. This is a major step in the progress of spike-less shoes, as spiked shoes are widely considered superior to the others.
