Jannik Sinner Follows Novak Djokovic in Incredible Record After European Open 2021 Title
The next gen in men’s tennis has been producing miraculous victories over the past few years and that’s evident with the rise of youngsters like Daniil Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, amongst others. Recently, another youngster Jannik Sinner has proved himself to be worthy of carrying the legacy of greats like Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer.
Jannik Sinner becomes the youngest player since Novak Djokovic to win fifth ATP title
The young Italian stunned Diego Schwartzman in the finals of 2021 European Open to register his fifth ATP title of the season. Schwartzman had no chance against Sinner in the final as the latter looked destined to clinch the title.
Just a couple of weeks ago, the Italian prodigy defeated the likes of Filip Krajinovic and Gael Monfils to win the Sofia Open. Adding the title in Antwerp today, Sinner managed to win a total of five tour-level titles this year as a 20-year old.

There is no doubt in saying that Jannik Sinner will be one of the players to look forward to in the coming years. As a result of his five ATP titles, the Italian managed to achieve an incredible record that’s held by Novak Djokovic.
Djokovic had a terrific run at the 2007 ATP season
A 19-year old Djokovic managed to claim his fifth ATP tour title in 2007 by winning the clay-court event at Estoril in Portugal. In fact, it was the year where the Serbian claimed two Masters 1000 titles(Miami and Canada) before making his impact at several majors.
