‘Bummed’ Brad Keselowski Rues Luck at Kansas Speedway

At the Kansas Speedway, the Team Penske drivers did not enjoy a good race. All three of them are below the cut line to enter the final 4. Out of the trio, Brad Keselowski and Ryan Blaney endured nightmarish runs at Kansas, with Keselowski finishing in 17th. As it turned out, the #2 driver picked up a puncture, and that let him plummet down the order.

Speaking after the race, he said, “That was a heck of a race. We are all just fighting to hard. I am bummed I didn’t get more out of it. I had a heck of an opportunity to score a lot of points and make next week easy. We still aren’t in a bad spot but not as good as spot as we could be.”

Can Brad Keselowski bounce back?

Obviously, the 2012 Cup Series champion will be kicking himself for his dismal performance. However, the good news is that he still has one last chance to redeem himself at the Martinsville Speedway. He does have a decent track record at Martinsville with two wins in 2017 and 2019 to his credit. However, he has never reached Victory Lane at the Phoenix Raceway.

If he does sneak into the Championship 4, Keselowski will be thinking that there is a first time for everything. He had a reasonably good race at the Texas Motor Speedway, but he stumbled at Kansas. Without a doubt, the 37-year-old will be keen to make up for it.

However, given the form of Kyle Larson and the Hendrick Motorsports team, things may be difficult. Though that does not mean that Brad Keselowski is going to give up the ghost. As a racer, he is obligated to try his hardest and compete for wins and championships. And aside from Hendrick Motorsports, Joe Gibbs Racing and Keselowski’s own Team Penske, are some of the best NASCAR Cup teams.
