Zara McDermott confirms she’s quit Made in Chelsea after success of revenge porn documentary
Zara McDermott has confirmed that she’s quit Made in Chelsea because it’s ‘hard on the soul’.
The reality star, who shot to fame on Love Island in 2018, recently released a BBC documentary about revenge porn and how she discovered that nude photos of her were posted online.
Following the success of the one-off special titled Zara McDermott: Revenge Porn, the 21-year-old has now vowed to do more documentaries.
Despite finding love with Adam Collard in the villa. the pair broke up shortly after leaving the villa.
Zara later went on to meet Sam Thompson, who introduced her as his girlfriend on Made in Chelsea.
The couple, who are now back together, broke up over Zara’s cheating claims and it was publicly broadcast on the reality programme.
In a recent interview, Zara has sworn off reality TV for good and hopes to work on more documentaries.
She told The Sun’s TV magazine : ‘I’ve left. Sam’s still in.
‘I would like to do more documentaries. I’m bursting with ideas. I think I surprised myself. I was obviously nervous, a year ago. I enjoyed that gratification of helping people.’
‘That’s my goal for this year and next year. No more reality TV, it’s hard on the soul,’ she added.
In Zara’s documentary, in one clip she can be seen breaking down in tears as she recalled ‘wanting to die’ when the images circulated online.
The TV personality only found out about the nude pictures the day after she left Love Island.
‘The night I left the villa, I was obviously feeling super emotional,’ she began.
‘I woke up the following morning by a knock at the door and it was the press officer. “Someone has shared some images of you and they’ve been circulating pretty much worldwide since you’ve been in the villa”.
‘I can’t even tell you that feeling, to feel like your parents are ashamed of you.’
‘It was so embarrassing,’ Zara sobbed. ‘I just wanted to die.’
