Tyson Fury’s Retirement Question Finally Answered: Is He Done?

With his empathic win over Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury cemented his spot as the best heavyweight of this generation. He extended his undefeated run into its thirteenth year. Ideally, it’s not possible for heavyweights to stay on top by retaining their undefeated stints for so long. However, ‘The Gypsy King’ has shown the world that he’s a different fighter all together.

Ever since Fury secured a win against Wilder in their trilogy, there’s massive news surfacing over the internet regarding the Brit’s retirement. However, neither ‘The Gypsy King’ nor anyone from his team has validated the same.

Bob Arum has dismissed suggestions that Tyson Fury could now retire from boxing. He said he wants Fury to return around March in the UK and named Dillian Whyte and Joe Joyce as potential opponents. [Blue Blood Sports TV]

Recently, Fury’s US promoter, Bob Arum, addressed this situation while he was in a chat with Blue Blood Sports TV. The Top Rank boss dismissed suggestions pertaining to Fury’s retirement. Moreover, he even asserted about Fury’s return to the ring by March 2022 in the UK.

Arum even named two potential opponents for the WBC heavyweight champ- Dillian Whyte and Joe Joyce.

His win wasn’t a fluke that fans should even ask such a question. ‘The Gypsy King’ overcame adversity as Wilder dropped him twice in the fight. He bounced back, dominated, and had the last laugh in this fight. That said, the champ is now in the most ideal spot, and he can test his prowess against any given challenger.

Joe Joyce and ‘The Body Snatcher’ Whyte rank among the top heavyweights of this era, but in between the two Brits, Dillian Whyte has a fine edge over ‘Juggernaut’.
