WATCH: Nuggets vs Jazz Turns Ugly as JaMychal Green Shoves Referee During Scuffle and Gets Ejected

As the close game between the Nuggets and Utah Jazz came near it’s end, a fight broke out between JaMychal Green and Hassan Whiteside in the fourth quarter. This scuffle resulted in a double-tech for both the players. However, JaMychal Green was also ejected from the game as he pushed an official in the process of the heated fight.

After Nikola Jokic left the game due to an injury, this was the last thing the Nuggets would’ve wanted. Losing a player to an ejection like this.  Take a look at the replay to determine whether JaMychal Green deserved this ejection.

What does this mean for the Denver Nuggets?

Losing Nikola Jokic to a first half injury was already a setback to the morale of the squad. This fight only indicated the increased tension on the court that resulted in bad decisions from Green. Under no circumstances is a player justified in pushing an official.

Ever since Malice at the Palace, the NBA has been extremely strict about the players’ conduct on the court. Touching, let alone shoving an official is an equivalent of hitting a police officer in uniform. Absolutely unacceptable to the league. And hence resulted in both the players getting ejected from the court.

Therefore, the Denver Nuggets might have to play the next few games without their star player Jokic. Moreover, key rotation player JaMychal Green might face some more consequences than just his ejection which is also bad news for the Nuggets.

Nikola Jokic’s first half injury against the Utah Jazz

Nikola Jokic collided with Rudy Gobert in the first half of tonight’s game. Consequently, Jokic only played 15 minutes in tonight’s game against the Jazz. However he had an impressive display in those 15 minutes on the floor. He scored 24 points in the time he spent on the floor.

Prayers up to Nikola Jokic

He was on the verge of a dominant performance tonight before he got injured. His injury was arguably the main reason why the Jazz ended up winning the game with a comfortable margin at the end. With this injury blow to the Nuggets, do you think the team morale will severely be affcted? Or will Michael Porter Jr and others step up at this opportunity?
