Jake Paul Lays Into Claressa Shields as ‘The GWOAT’ Loses to Abigail Montes

Claressa Shields suffered the first loss of her professional combat career against Abigail Montes, which opened the way for a few critics to pounce upon her. 24-year-old Jake Paul was one of the first to throw a shade on Shields’s loss, amassing a major portion of the spotlight on himself.

Boxing world champion and Olympic gold medalist, Claressa Shields, has never been a fan of Jake Paul. Instead, she has often bashed the social media star turned boxer for stepping into the field of combat. As Shields was now hit by a major blow in the PFL, Paul lashed back at her.

The newly turned boxer even put Conor McGregor and Ronda Rousey to his tweet, using them as validation behind Shield’s lack of training.

Jake Paul wrote, “I love karma Claressa Shields, Congrats Abigail Montes! Someone get her a Twitter.” ‘The Problem Child’ elaborated with a picture in the tweet.

Well, Shields may not bother about all of it. 1-1 as a mixed martial artist, she has earned enough appraisals for showcasing her fighting spirit inside the cage. While the result didn’t come in her favor, Claressa Shields could see a few moments of success. She out sparked Montes in the opening round and looked prominent.

However, Montes returned stronger in round two and took the fight to the ground. As Claressa Shields couldn’t offer much action from there, she ended up losing the scrap via split decision. She will now move back to the boxing domain and defend her world titles.

Claressa Shields will look to return with a bang in boxing

Despite the failed attempt against Montes, she is still a legend. She will look to put this MMA loss behind her and maintain her standing as an undefeated boxer. Per reports, Shields will face Ema Kozin in England on December 11 to defend her WBC, WBA, and IBF middleweight titles.

When ‘T-Rex’ returns, she cannot afford to look anything but flawless. She may not bother to care about her critics now, but more losses could be catastrophic and see people question her even more.
