CM Punk is Finally Back in His Element in AEW

The return of CM Punk to professional wrestling has been the biggest moment of AEW in recent history. The 43-year-old former WWE wrestler left the business on a sour note, but the young promotion brought him back. This has opened up countless opportunities, dream match-ups, and feuds that will truly bring out the best in everyone.

Punk carries the moniker of being the ‘best in the world’ and he has indeed proved that from time to time. However, his time off from the sport raised some eyebrows. Initially, it seemed like Punk had lost a step or two, but as the weeks went by, Punk showcased improvements and shades of his prime days.

CM Punk has upped his wrestling game in the latest AEW Dynamite

Ever since the superstar wrestler decided to make his return to the ring, fans have been anticipating great things out of him. However, ring rust was quite evident in his first match against Darby Allin. However, slowly, but surely, things have moved in the right direction, as Punk continues to take up weekly fights.

Bouts against Powerhouse Hobbs, Daniel Garcia, and Matt Sydal all helped him greatly to regain his composure. In tonight’s AEW Dynamite, Punk truly seemed his usual self and showcased flawless wrestling and immense in-ring prowess that he is well renowned for.

Roman Reigns and Eric Bischoff may have reacted negatively to Punk’s return, but it doesn’t seem like those comments are bothering him much. He seems to be in the best mental headspace and is truly enjoying his time and creative freedom with the young promotion. Unlike the American Dragon, Bryan Danielson, Punk is not chasing after the grandest prize in the promotion just yet.

This is truly the best time to tune in to the weekly dose of action that AEW guarantees. The storylines of the show indeed need a bit more touch-up, but the professional wrestling and bouts are second to none. If the promotion manages to keep this up, then in no time will it become the next big thing in the ecosystem.
