Bermuda Championship 2021: Complete Breakdown of the Prize Money From Winner to Last-Place

The Bermuda Championship is back in 2021, taking place right after the Zozo Championship in Japan. While the change of location warrants less prominent names on the field, it still provides its own kind of entertainment. The event will also be taking place at the Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, Bermuda.

Extremely beautiful, the golf course is one of the best public courses in the world. It has 18 championship holes to offer, stretching over 6842 yards. Famous architect Robert Trent Jones Sr designed the course back in 1970. However, players will now play on a $14.5 million renovated course, which has given the fairways a completely new look.

Another highlight of the course is its driving range, which is 300 yards with a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean. While one could say holes are easy, they can be just as tricky and challenging with strategic hazards placed all over. Of course, the course offers a luxurious clubhouse experience, with countless events taking place at the venue.

Who won the title last year?

Last year, Brian Gay won the championship, beating Wyndham Clark. Brendon Todd won the inaugural event in 2019. It was introduced to be held opposite the WGC-HSBC Champions, which was canceled this year.

Winner’s payout at the Bermuda Championship 2021

The total purse for this year’s Bermuda Championship is $6.5 million. This total amount is a significant increase from last year’s $4 million – a result of Butterfield Bank joining them as their title sponsors.
More often than not, a player who wins a PGA Tour event receives an exemption, along with FedEx Cup points and berths to important events.
In 2019, the event’s total prize purse was $3 million.
As per the breakdown, the winner will take home $1.1 million, a result of the increased prize money.
