Strictly Come Dancing pair Aljaz Skorjanec and Sara Davies remain hopeful for Judi Love to return after she contracted Covid last week and missing her performance.

Aljaz and Sara have taken the competition by storm, having consistently found themselves near the top of the leaderboard.

But with the list of contestants quickly whittling down, fans are desperate to know if the Loose Women star will be back on the dancefloor after she shared a worrying update this week.

Judi was missing from the show’s line-up last Saturday after her positive Covid test forced her to isolate for 10 days.

During today’s Lorraine, speaking to host Christine Lampard, Sara and Alijaz spoke of their Couple’s Choice routine for Halloween week before Judi got a nod at the end of the discussion.

‘You were my favourites from the beginning, Judi Love as well is up there for me, hopefully, she’s doing okay,’ Christine said.

The pair crossed their fingers and responded: ‘Ah, hopefully!’

Christine went on to tease a high score for the pair, adding: ‘You two will be brilliant at the weekend, we’ll be watching – 10s all round, wouldn’t that be nice?’

Earlier this week, Judi posted a clip showing herself in bed after she’d been struck down by the virus.

Judi said: ‘I don’t even know what day it is. Some kind of motivation day.

‘I just wanna say to you guys, Rona is real. I give thanks that I was doing exercise and dancing thing. I feel like I’m handling it much better than I would have if I hadn’t been doing exercise and sweat.’

She continued: ‘You can hear from my voice…I have done all the West Indian recipes and remedies. For those who are West Indian, especially Jamaicans, you know what I’m talking about.

‘I eat the garlic, onion, the turmeric, the honey, the expensive honey – the Manuka one – the ginger, the lime, the lemon, the rum.

‘I’ve had all kinds of soup… chicken foot soup, lamb neck soup, red peas…and my voice is still like this.’

If Judi and Graziano do indeed return to the dancefloor tomorrow night, they will be performing their intended routine from last weekend.

The pair were due to raise temperatures as they danced Cha Cha Cha to Physical by Olivia Newton-John – but will they finally get to have a go at the routine tomorrow night?

Strictly Come Dancing continues tomorrow night at 7.05pm on BBC One.
