WOW! Glover Teixeira Destroys Jan Blachowicz to Become the Oldest First Time UFC Champion at UFC 267

The main event at UFC 267 featured a bout between Jan Blachowicz and Glover Teixeira for the light heavyweight belt. Blachowicz ushered in a new era at 205-pounds with a knockout win over Dominick Reyes at UFC 253. He then went on to defend his belt against Israel Adesanya before taking on a fight against Glover Teixeira. 

Teixeira, on the other hand, is living proof that age is just a number. The Brazilian fighter is on a five-fight win streak and is challenging for the belt at the age of 42. This was his second shot at a UFC title previously, having fought for the belt at UFC 172 against Jon Jones.

The fight started off well for Teixeira, who landed a takedown inside the first minute of the fight. However, the Brazilian was able to inflict a good amount of  damage from on top.  The second round was a much better round for the champion who initially stuffed takedowns, only to be taken down later on in the round. Once Teixeira, secured a takedown he was able to secure the back and flatten out his opponent. He then wasted no time in securing a rear naked choke. With the win, Teixeira is now the oldest champion in UFC history at the age of 42.
