‘Same Sh**’: NBA Twitter Reacts to the Recently Released 2021-22 City Edition Uniforms

NBA and Nike recently released new city edition uniforms in honor of the 75th anniversary of the league. Earlier today, NBA officially released the uniform collection for all 30 teams in the league. Every NBA campaign, all franchises receive a City edition uniform, which replaces what the teams wore as City editions last season.

Every City edition uniform represents the ‘ultimate basketball moments mix tape’. In fact, NBA released the Diamond Album, which recites the history of the league and all franchises. Some of the teams have tried to stick to their previous design in the City edition. However, others have gone for a brand new design.

However, the result has been exceptional, as the uniforms are very detailed and reflect upon the team’s heritage over the years. Since the release, it has been the talk of the town and it has attracted mixed reactions from NBA Twitter.

Knicks and Thunder are going to look awesome on court. Charlotte is probably the best “new” one.

Love how the teams incorporated every era and design from their history into the jerseys. That being said:

Thunder
Raptors
Rockets
Bucks

Hornets
Warriors https://t.co/FyEZ4GslLt

Defending champions, Milwaukee Bucks‘ uniform features green and blue team colors. The number set on the uniform is the same they used during their championship-winning campaign last season. 17-time champions, Lakers never forget their Minneapolis history and their shorts have incorporated their colors. The belt of the short features the ‘L’ logo from the three-peat era during the early 2000s.

The joint-most successful NBA franchise, Boston Celtics‘ uniform letters come from their ’46 and ’49 teams. The Raptors brought back the 2019 championship-winning dinosaur logo. However, their shorts feature the Canadian maple leaf, reminding the fans of the franchise’s roots.

Golden State Warriors‘ uniform reflects upon Oakland, their home for around 50 years. Their shorts feature two logos, one from the ‘We Believe’ era of the late 2000s and the other from the Warriors’ 75th anniversary. However, all City editions have some incredible designs which fans have been looking forward to. Which one is your favorite design? Let us know in the comment section below.
