Strictly: It Takes Two presenter Rylan Clark-Neal has revealed his bank account was targeted by hackers.

The TV personality took to Twitter to announce the worrying news, but kept his famous good humour as he filled his 1.6 million followers in on the developments.

He wrote: ‘Someone’s tried to get into my account ain’t they’, and paired it with a gif of Kristen Wiig’s character in Bridesmaids declaring ‘Help me I’m poor’.

Fans of the former X Factor contestant were quick to share their own experiences, with Rylan appearing to have got off lightly with the attempted hack.

Some of his followers had lost hundreds or even thousands of pounds, with one woman revealing she was scammed by fake car insurance and lost £7,500 in two days, but her ‘ace’ bank got her money back.

One person recalled how someone once ‘tried to book a £14,000 cruise on my card … I’m more impressed that they think I can afford that’.

It wasn’t long before Rylan got some more good news to take his mind off the attempted hacking, as just one hour later he again took to Twitter with an announcement.

This time he announced the decidedly better news that his weekend radio show on BBC Radio 2, Rylan On Saturdays, had reached a jaw-dropping 2.3 million listeners.

He wrote simply: ‘Thank you so much.’

The hugely popular presenter hosts the three-hour show on Saturdays from 3 – 6pm, with the programme featuring a mix of tunes, chats, and laughs.

Rylan, 33, recently marked his birthday with a star-studded party at his home, hosting such famous faces as Lizzie Cundy (who left his home the next morning a bit worse for wear and still wearing the same dress as the night before).

Rylan and Dan met after Dan’s time as a housemate on Big Brother 14, while Rylan was presenting Big Brother’s Bit on the Side.

The pair were engaged in 2014 and married in 2015, with Rylan becoming step-dad to Dan’s son Cameron.
