‘Giannis a F—Ing Fraud’: Twitter Reacts to Milwaukee Bucks Blowing a 21 Point Lead vs New York Knicks

The Milwaukee Bucks are losing ground. The unit that stood in the top 3 of Eastern Conference ranking for three consecutive years, is suddenly 10th in 2021-22. Giannis Antetokounmpo led Bucks are clearly struggling and their most recent loss against the Knicks further exposed their shortcomings.

The home team of the Fiserv Forum began the Q1 with Grayson Allen’s three-pointer and ended it with Pat Connaughton’s. But even with a 38-19 beginning to propel their performance, the team faltered. As a result, they lost the game 98-113 and allowed criticism their way.

Fans schooled the Milwaukee Bucks for their poor show

With a minute into Q2, the Bucks had a formidable 21 point lead and a blowout win in the pipeline. However, the game saw an insane turnaround as the Knicks then forced a 43-point swing. All of a sudden, the NY-based team was 112-90 with under three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

This seemed very much like the two games where the Lakers lost their double-figure leads and gave away the games. Clearly, Julius Randle with his 32-point double-double proved too much for Giannis and company. So it was obvious for the fans to drag the Bucks to the court –

What led to Giannis Antetokounpo and his champions losing it all?

Well, it’s safe to say that the Knicks did more rights than the Bucks committed wrongs. For one, the visitors went heavy on their defense as the night matured. With Nerlens Noel and Immanuel Quickley, the Knicks’ bench, under the leadership of Derrick Rose, thrived. 

Plus, the Knicks’ star duo delivered by combining 52 points as opposed to a Khris Middleton less Bucks having no response. In fact, after that Q1 three-pointer from Pat Connaughton, the starting forward missed six long-range attempts and folded at just 5 points. Although the turnover rate remained the same, the Bucks just could not catch up.
