Azealia Banks bizarrely accuses Lady Gaga of ‘transphobia’ for offering $500K reward for stolen dogs

Azealia Banks has accused Lady Gaga of transphobia for offering an eye-watering $500K reward to have her stolen dogs safely returned.

The 29-year-old didn’t hold back as she furiously reacted to news that Gaga’s dogwalker was shot by two men in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, with the attackers stealing her French bulldogs Koji and Gustavo.

In a post shared to her Instagram Stories on Thursday, the rapper wrote: ‘Doesn’t Lady Gaga know that her trans fans need money for sex-change surgery?

‘If she got $500K to spend on dogs and won’t give back to the people who helped her get rich, I think that’s transphobic,’ she added.

In another post, the 212 hitmaker shared a picture of her handbag with the picture of former US President Barack Obama and wife Michelle printed on the side.

Writing atop the couple’s smiling snap, she bizarrely continued: ‘How does she even know the dogs want to be her dogs?

‘Maybe her dogs don’t even like her? Dogs are women too.’

Over the years, Azealia, who has drawn regular controversy for a spate of outlandish and unconventional behaviour, switched her Instagram profile to private after sharing her views on Oscar-winner Gaga’s plight.

Two days earlier, Gaga’s French bulldogs Koji and Gustavo were stolen by attackers who also shot her dogwalker, Ryan Fischer.

Gaga, 34, has since offered $500,000 (£353,400) for Koji and Gustavo’s return, ‘no questions asked’, while anybody with information relating to the incident has been asked to email KojiandGustav@gmail.com.

Fischer was shot outside his West Hollywood home, and footage from the scene saw him receiving treatment on the ground. He is believed to be recovering well in the hospital.

The Bad Romance singer is currently in Italy filming her new movie Gucci with Ridley Scott; it is unclear if she will return to the US due to the attack.

A spokesperson for the LAPD said: ‘We had a shooting that took place at 1500 block of N Sierra Bonita Avenue at 9:40pm.

‘Male unknown suspect fired a gunshot. Victim was male, white, 30 years of age. ‘Victim was transported to local hospital in unknown condition. No arrest made yet.’

Police described the first suspect as ‘male, Black, 20-25 years of age, blond dreadlocks, wearing a black hoodie, and armed with a semi-automatic handgun’ and the second suspect as ‘male, Black, 20-25 years of age, wearing dark clothing’.

According to The Sun, FBI officials specialised in kidnapping and ransom cases are working with the Los Angeles Police Department to determine the motive for the attack.

As Gaga sang the national anthem at President Joe Biden’s inauguration last month, officials are allegedly investigating whether the attack and kidnapping were politically motivated.

A source said: ‘Lady Gaga is high profile of course but she sang at President Biden’s inauguration which takes this case to another level.

‘The FBI wants to know exactly what motivated this incident.’
