When are the ACM Awards 2021 – and who are the nominees?
The ACM Awards 2021 nominees have been announced by Brothers Osborne and the odds are looking good for Maren Morris and Chris Stapleton.
The country stars nabbed six nominations each for the 56th annual Academy of Country Music Awards.
Elsewhere, Miranda Lambert – aka the most-nominated female artist in ACM Awards history – bagged another five nods.
With the likes of Thomas Rhett and Ashley McBryde landed four nominations each, while Ingrid Andress, HARDY and Carly Pearce got three nods each.
When are the ACM Awards 2021 and what is the location?
The 56th ACM Awards will broadcast live from three iconic country music venues. The ceremony will take place in the Grand Ole Opry House, The Bluebird Cafe and Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.
Where can you watch the ACM Awards 2021?
Fans can watch the event live on Sunday, April 18 on CBS.
The ACM Awards will also be available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+, which is ViacomCBS’ upcoming global streaming service.
What’s the difference between the ACM and CMA awards?
Academy of Country Music Awards is often confused with the Country Music Association Awards.
However, a key way to tell the difference between the two is the fact they air on different networks and take place in different parts of the country.
The ACMs usually take place in Las Vegas and air on CBS, while the CMAs air from Nashville on ABC.
The ACMs were first held in 1966 and headed to TV in 1972. While the CMA Awards were first presented in 1967, and televised for the first time the following year.
