Interesting Update on Kyrie Irving As He Gets Spotted at Basketball Game

It seems like their loss against the Chicago Bulls was just a little bump in the road after their five-game winning streak. The Brooklyn Nets were instantly back on the horse and just handed the Orlando Magic a 123-90 defeat. With this, their record in the Eastern Conference has improved to 8-4. However, their star player Kyrie Irving, whose absence is still hurting them somehow, is making an appearance elsewhere.

Kyrie Irving attends a college basketball game

While his teammates are trying to get by through all the struggles, Kyrie Irving was spotted at Seton Hall, enjoying the Pirates welcome another college team of New Jersey named Fairleigh Dickinson. But he wasn’t alone. Giving him company was former NBA player, Tim Thomas, who last played for the Dallas Mavericks during the 2009-2010 campaign.

It seems like the point guard showed up for the game to support his friend Bryce Aiken, who is a guard at Seton Hall. Kyrie, who attended the same high school as Aiken, was seen clapping each time Aiken dropped a bucket, who ended the night with 15 points and won the game.

With Irving not talking to the media, Thomas gave some insights into what he is up to. As per him, the Nets guard is in “good spirits” and is even working out. In fact, he also revealed, “We spoke about doing some upcoming things with NJ and Jersey basketball. Be on the lookout.”

Brooklyn Nets surviving without him and surviving well

The Brooklyn Nets had no option but to prohibit Kyrie from taking part in games and practices because of his refusal to get the COVID vaccine. Just like last season, fans will not be seeing much of the trio that stirred so much hype in the 2020 offseason. Until they reach a consensus, the 29-year-old will have to sit out.

However, Kevin Durant seems to have it handled for them. James Harden might be struggling on the court, but KD is in better form than ever. Not only is he making a good case for himself as an MVP, but he is also carrying the entire team on his shoulders. Just like he did last season.

By the looks of it, they are still one of the title-contending teams. Since there is no sign of Kyrie’s return, the only question is, how long can the roster only rely on Durant’s performance? Will he be able to get past more competitive teams of the East without help?
