David Benavidez Explains Why He Can Beat Canelo Alvarez, Says ‘Plant Shouldn’t Have Run His Mouth’

Canelo Alvarez defied the odds and gave a response to the naysayers with his sensational performance against Caleb Plant. This was one highly important bout for the Mexican star, and he enthralled his fans as he claimed his fifty-seventh win. After putting on a beating on Plant for over 30 minutes, Alvarez finally concluded the bout with a T/KO in round 11.

After the fight, boxing pundits and modern-day stars have given their opinion on this fight. The ex-super middleweight champ, David Benavidez, was among them.

Speaking to FightHype, he said, “I’m a combination puncher; I’ve got a great jab and some great body shots,”

“I’m hungry, and I want this opportunity. I feel like I can hurt you, and I believe in my punching power. So, I know he’s [Canelo] strong too, but I feel if I land the right shots, I can hurt him too.”
