Where is Adele from?

British singer Adele is, at this point in her career, as close to universally-loved as one can be.
With millions of fans around the globe, she’ll no doubt win over more with her upcoming album 30 – which she’ll preview in an upcoming ITV concert, An Audience With Adele.
Her candid approach to discussing life, love, weight loss, motherhood and divorce – particularly in her CBS TV interview with Oprah – only adds to her charm.
Currently, Adele primarily lives in the US with her son Angelo – also nearby to his dad, ex-husband Simon Konecki.
But where is the Easy On Me songstress originally from? Is it London, Essex or somewhere else in the UK?
Here’s what we know about Adele’s childhood hometown and where she’s at today.
Where is Adele originally from?
Some speculate that Adele is from Essex, that’s not actually the case.
Adele was born Adele Laurie Blue Adkins in Tottenham – in the North London borough of Haringey.
She spent her teen years in the South London borough of Lambeth, where she lived with her single mum, Penny.
From ages 11 to 18, Adele and Penny stayed in a West Norwood flat above a shop, near a petrol garage. From here, she commuted to the Brit School in Croydon.
It’s believed Adele’s first single, Hometown Glory, was about her teen years in West Norwood.
But she’s still a huge Tottenham Hotspur fan – even singing the club’s chant in a recent Vogue interview.
Does Adele still live in London or does she live in America?

Adele moved to a Notting Hill flat at age 18 as she’d signed a major record deal.
Since then, her career has skyrocketed – and she’s gone on to amass an incredible property portfolio, including a home in Kensington.
In 2012, she bought a £2.5 million pad on the seafront in Hove, East Sussex – which was sold in 2016.
She also owned a West Sussex mansion in East Grinstead, with her then-husband Simon and son Angelo, which was later sold.
Though she is still believed to own UK property, Adele is now based in Beverly Hills, California.
The star, 33, reportedly owns three giant mansions in the celebrity-heavy neighbourhood – and lives nearby to her ex so Angelo can have both parents close by.
It does appear she considered living in London full-time, though, telling Vogue in 2021: ‘Once I had Angelo, in England if you haven’t got a plan with a young child and it’s raining, you’re f***ed.
‘And the kind of house I have in LA I could never afford in London. Ever.’
