Rapper Young Dolph dies aged 32 after Memphis shooting

Rapper Young Dolph has been shot and killed aged 32, according to reports.
TMZ reports the musician, real name Adolph Robert Thornton Jr, was involved in a shooting at Makeda’s Cookies in Memphis, Tennessee on Wednesday afternoon.
Three independent law enforcement sources confirmed to local news outlet FOX13 that the rapper, who released his debut album, King of Memphis in 2016, was shot as he walked into a cookie shop.
Eyewitnesses caught footage of police at the scene of the shooting as bystanders were heard shouting: ‘Ain’t no way these folks just killed Dolph.’
Maurice Hill, the owner of the shop where the shooting happened, told FOX13 his employees said Young Dolph walked into their store to buy cookies.
The owner then claimed that someone drove up, shot the rapper. He also told WREG that the star was hit while he was buying cookies.

Meanwhile, eyewitnesses saw the rapper’s distinctive camouflage Lamborghini sat in the parking lot of the bakery after the shooting.
Police confirmed that one male victim was pronounced dead following the shooting, and explained their identity will only be revealed when the next of kin have been contacted.

Young Dolph had previously been targeted in 2017, when he was hit by multiple bullets outside a shoe store in Hollywood.
The rapper, who has collaborated with the likes of 2 Chainz, Megan Thee Stallion and Gucci Mane, is survived by two children.
