Anthony Joshua Links Up With Soccer Legend David Beckham as His Pursuit for New Trainer Continues

Anthony Joshua succumbed to a disheartening defeat to Oleksandr Usyk a couple of months back. Since then, he’s been in the news for his hunt for a new trainer. That said, Joshua took a stroll to America and met the likes of Ronnie Shields and Eddy Reynoso. Yet, there’s no genuine news as to whom he will finalize as his head coach.

Regardless of that, Joshua is relishing his time outside the ring and he’s also meeting some top-notch athletes across different sporting verticals. Recently, the former unified heavyweight king met the soccer legend, and one of the greatest English soccer players, David Beckham.

“No drink up at this link up #VibesCantDone” wrote Joshua with a picture of him and Beckham.

Joshua, these days, is fully focused on his rematch with Usyk.

The Briton has officially triggered the rematch clause with his Ukrainian foe and is eager to get inside the ring soon. Joshua is keen on reclaiming his belts. To do so, he’s willing to go that extra mile, i.e. rope in a new trainer and develop a strategy to beat Oleksandr Usyk.

A few days back, it was speculated that Canelo’s trainer, Eddy Reynoso, will loop in Joshua for the rematch with Usyk. However, there is nothing official regarding that as of yet.

Joshua has avenged a defeat before, but ‘The Cat’ is a whole different beast as compared to what ‘The Destroyer’ was in 2019.

Can Anthony Joshua turn the tables in his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk?

Given how the first fight went, Anthony Joshua will have to bring in extensive movements if he wants to beat Usyk by any means.

The Brit has terrific power to knock anyone out cold, but Usyk didn’t let him do that. That said, Joshua will have to find a way to land his devastating right hand and test Usyk’s chin frequently.

It will be intriguing to see what Joshua comes up with in his second meet with Oleksandr Usyk. That being said, with the data from 36 minutes of boxing, ‘AJ’ surely has what it takes to turn the tables on the new unified champion.
